How to use potential grant money in ELA?

Not sure what flair to use, sorry. I teach onsite and virtual 8th grade ELA. Our superintendent is offering a grant of $750 to go toward any idea we have to “increase learning opportunities... creativity and innovation...” blah blah. Like most teachers, I am so burned out by this school year. I’m wanting to make next semester better, and thought this would be a good experience for me/opportunity for my students. But I have major brain drain right now, and am struggling to come up with ideas. The best I have right now is to order all (only 19) of my virtual students whatever book they would like to read within their reading range. Just to get books in their hands, cause they definitely aren’t reading independently right now. However, this doesn’t have anything catchy or hard results/data to point toward, and I think that’s probably what they’re looking for. Anyone have some ideas, or things that have worked in the past? TIA
