Context about me: I'm 17 years old and a junior in high school
And I want to go to college no ifs or butts about it I'm going to college. And I'm not taking trade schools or any alternatives to college
How exactly can I get a business, with a learning disability that impairs and actually quite limits my ability to do math?
I've never been able to progress more than addition and subtraction and even addition and subtraction is still a little bit of a struggle for me. But I was wondering if I would be able to get at least some kind of business degree with my learning disability. I know it's going to be hard and the math portions are going to be impossible for me to do without some kind of calculator help. But I was wondering if any college would be willing to make accommodations such as letting me use a calculator or if I'm better off for going the entire idea of getting a business degree, and scrapping it all together. Possibly going for something else.
But this is in the future and I have time to prepare for it since I'm only a junior in high school. And I know that other people have told me trade schools or professional certifications but in my opinion those aren't as good as college. At least they don't have the same prestige that employers are looking for. Besides the career I'm going into requires a college degree. And I'm not changing my career choice.
