I’m a sub in America, I have also been a main teacher in Japan. The difference in the two is glaring. American kids are illiterate, bad behaved, and honestly do not deserve to be there. As tax payers we are basically paying for kids to just be there 8 hours a day. Teachers cant teach because they are too busy trying to correct behavior and this shouldn’t be the case. I know this is maybe an extreme opinion, but at the high school level, if you are acting out, don’t do your work and are generally hindering the education of your peers, you should not be allowed to be there! “oh but your leaving them out from learning” They are pushing others down! Children and teens in America are getting wildly stupid, I’m sorry but if people don’t see that now and get offended, they need to wake up. No child left behind should have never been a thing.
