It's often said, validly, that more and more jobs are requiring college credentials and skills, the cost of which then thwart people from becoming economically mobile. Most of the conversation I hear and read, though, is about how we can make college affordable rather than how we can rethink the K-12 curriculum to make a high school diploma more valuable in the new economy. I'm sure this is just a bias of sources because I'm in higher ed, but can anyone point me to some writings or initiatives that touch in this sort of rethinking? I'm not really sure what to search. Thanks in advance.
