Upward Bound

I'm not sure if this is quite relevant, but this is the only subreddit that seemed to fit the topic of this post.

For those of you that are unaware, the Upward Bound programs of many colleges are facing a lot of trouble. Due to simple mistakes on grant applications, programs are losing funding and being forced to close until further notice. Program directors are trying to edit and resubmit, but the federal DoE isn't giving a chance. Mine is one of those affected.

Thanks to this program, many students (myself included) have had the chance to earn college credit with no cost, explore the country, and step out of their comfort zones. This program has done a lot for students both in and out of the classroom. For more information on the program, see http://ift.tt/2rPZic0 (sorry it's a Wikipedia, but the information is pretty accurate).

I am trying to raise awareness regarding this program and the problems it is currently facing. If you have any ideas on how to help Upward Bound and it's students, we appreciate any suggestions.

Thank you for reading this long chunk of text. I appreciate it!

Tl;Dr: Upward Bound is in a lot of trouble due to typos in applications and lots of low-income students are affected. Any help is appreciated.
