Hello, I’m not entirely sure how to word this as I’m not entirely sure of what I’m asking myself. I am currently working on my degree on electrical engineering and I’m encountering a problem I have struggled with my entire life, memorizing words. It doesn’t matter how short the sentence or phrase is, it is excruciatingly painful in my head to try to memorize words. In order to memorize words I have to place myself in a noiseless environment while wearing noise canceling headphones, write what I’m trying to memorize 25-50 times, read it out loud, and do this several times in 30-40 minute intervals. However, when it comes to understanding or comprehending things I have no problem. Which is why I haven’t necessarily had a problem with my education. I’m not sure if this is a medical thing, or if there is something I can do to improve my abilities. I’m at a loss at this point and exhausted as well. Any help?
