I am high school and technical school educated (mechanic) but have no experience with college. I am Ex Army. I currently work at a major theme park and was promoted as Foreman (guy in charge) of the Landscape, pest control and water quality departments. I have no idea what I'm doing.
I am working on getting the various certifications I need like CPO/AFO for pools, applicator licenses for pesticides and fertilizers, things of this nature. Next semester I would like to start night classes to further my education in this field. I have no idea what degree or degrees I need though.
Horticulture is the one that springs to mind, however there is also botany and genetics and all sorts of other things that could be included. That and there are 2 and 4 year degrees for Horticulture by itself.
I am just very confused and would like some help / direction. Multiple degrees are on the table.
