Looking for (scientific/academic) Literature on the topic and practice of "Explanations"

Hey everyone,

I need literature on Explanations for my Bachelor Thesis regarding the following issues:

How do different styles of explanations for different kinds of topics look like? Is there any framework for categorizing types of explanations?

When explaining, what are the ways to find out, which part of the explanation was not understood, and how to improve the explanation or add additional context, to allow the student to understand the explanation.

I'm really having a hard time finding the basic terms for this field of research, so I would be really grateful, if you could give me some directions, point me to some research fields or noteworthy papers and such. Thanks!
