Hi all
I am going to study Master degree this year and I have got many university offers as a result of my hard work from undergrad study. So far I have narrowed my offers to only 2 universities, Master of Finance at the George Washington University (in the US) and MSc International Management at Bath University (in the UK).
Business & Management studies in Bath is one of the best in the UK and I can stay in the country for 2 more years after graduation to pursue my career. They also claimed that 84% of their class of 2018 graduates received job offers within 3 months of graduating which sounds really promising. However the course is only 1 year which I am a little worried about it may not be enough.
As for GWU, one of the reasons I applied is that their course is 2 years and there is more to learn and maybe there's more job opportunities since it's near New York and Boston. DC is a beautiful city, I've always wanted to experience America, the culture and the people, see the world while I'm still young. However the whole 2020 has changed everything, the surging cases of the virus and people dying, the shocking racial conflict and inequality, the president keeps using racial slur (I'm an Asian) for the audience cheering and in denial of science and lack of humanity, etc. What is happening in the US right now really shocked me and questioning my decision.
I also have the option to defer my study until next year. Please give me some suggestions and recommendations to help me decide, this has been really stressful for me. Thank you.
