Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but it seems to be the best place I have found. Currently working at a two year school in a student facing role. Love my job very much. Working from home for much of the rest of the year and looking to continue professional development. I am looking at a M.Ed. program with a Trauma Informed Practices focus. The program I’m looking at is all online, through a small regional public university in my state. My employer will pay a significant chunk of my tuition. It will end up costing me only around 11k to get a Master’s degree. With the state of higher education I feel that getting more education myself is the best way to continue on my current career path. I never initially intended to work in education, but now I don’t want to work in any other field. The school I’m looking at has decent reviews, but it’s small and the physical location which I won’t need to ever go to is in a very rural area. I feel like what matters is that I get the degree not where it’s from since I am already becoming established in my field with only a Bachelor’s degree. Is this bargain degree too good to be true? Or just right for my current situation? The school I’m thinking of attending is so small that 99% of people or more have never heard of it, but those in my field in my state are familiar.
