My spouse is an elementary art teacher.
The policy for the new school year will be that, if a student or their family member(s) are confirmed with COVID-19, the entire class will self-quarantine at home for two weeks and do digital learning.
But as the art teacher, my spouse sees every kid in the school over the course of the week. And they will all be coming to the art classroom, to maintain as much normalcy as possible.
Of course, masks and cleaning precautions will be taken, but how could the quarantine policy apply to her? Does that mean art will be mostly taught remotely all semester, since we live in what is now a COVID-19 hot spot? She has received no clarification. This doesn't seem well thought out.
