I am currently a sophomore. The typical track for someone at my school is to start IB in 11th grade. However, more and more people are deciding to skip the IB diploma and just get a regular texas diploma. I plan to stay in the U.S. for college. I also plan on majoring in either (In order of importance):
- Aerospace (General)
- Nuclear Engineering
- Environmental Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
Or:
- Political Science
- International Relations
Ideally, I would like to Major in Aerospace and minor in International Relations.
I am mainly worried about IB Vs. AP credits and college admissions. Knowing this is my plan for the future: Is it smart to continue down the IB path or drop it and switch to the regular AP path. Is it possible to do both?
Any Guidance Would Be Appreciated.
