My mother doesn't notice that school is unimportant. Why is that?

All I'm learning about is wars and events from like no where in my life time and about lines and boxes with numbers and letters and stuff I'll never actually use in life. So why does no one notice that school is unimportant like my mother? Its pretty unimportant to me.
