I've been to school for many years and have not been able to overcome this issue. I'm currently a senior accounting undergraduate ( not my first degree ); and have been to graduate school in the past. I've always been a self learner. I study by going into a quiet room, locking myself in, and hitting the books. I hate group study sessions, group projects, and especially classes. I always check out in classes. My main post is about this issue alone. I'm unable to follow, because I'm either bored out of my mind or just feel as though the pace is too fast and that the learning in the class is superficial rather than deep. This has led me to sometimes skip classes to do work and study on my own, which isn't a good idea when attendance is taken. What's your advice? How do I not check out in a class after a few minutes? Also, what advice do you have for not checking out in a class when I'm behind on that class's material. Please advise me.
