I am a 39 y.o. construction worker and military veteran. For the past few months I have been thinking that I can't keep goin on like this, my body is giving out faster than I anticipated and I can't bounce back like I used to. I got the idea of going back to school and try to get a degree or two. I had used my GI Bill on some college years ago but never finished (Construction Management - Carpentry). Given that I am rapidly deteriorating physically I am looking into my other passions, History and Teaching. The only thing holding me back is finances. I have absolutely no idea how I can afford to go back to school for these interests and still earn a living wage. I know some would suggest night classes but in my industry I could be commuting 2+ hours one way working, physically demanding, 10-14 hour days.
