My college requires students to complete a couple internships, one being a full semester, full time internship in the fall of senior year while simultaneously taking a thesis course.
I recently accepted a position for a co-op starting in July and ending in December, but I am most likely going to be taking my fall semester off from school (so I won’t be enrolled as a student during the co-op). The co-op is paid.
Is this...allowed? I guess? For lack of a better word. It was an extremely hard co-op to secure and I’m afraid to inquire with the company in fear of losing the position.
Technically if it’s paid it’s considered a temp position since I’m being compensated monetarily instead of with school credits?
