I was put in IEP in 6th grade and taken out the next year. I was wondering because I’ve never known of any sort of disability I have if you need that to qualify. I had really bad grades at the time and this was very upsetting so I became very motivated and focused on school work and managed to get average grades after that and be put back in normal classes. Does this mean I have some sort of disability that my parents never told me about because you need that to qualify rather than just extremely poor grades? If so what qualifies for IEP? I remember I was told I had ADHD by a therapist around this time but this was shortly after getting put in IEP. I never saw a therapist before or after that.
