Looking for research on benefits of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion programs in higher education/ education as a whole.

Hi everyone. Looking to support the case for DEI programs in education. There is a lot of research on the matter and on the benefits of such programs. With the growing number of states starting to cut down on these, I’m working on gathering data to make the case for such programs. Any research anyone could point out that has shown the benefits? Research (if any) on its downsides would also be appreciated so as to have a thorough insight. Thank you all in advance!
