For context, I briefly spoke with a friend of a friend who happens to be a Vice Principal at an elementary school in the Midwest, and in that brief conversation, he told me the data systems that are used to keep track of students, student records, student needs, etc. are "not in great shape". There is good software out there, but there is still a lot left to be desired.
I don't know where to start in exploring this, but my main area of interest is how teachers, students, and school staff use these systems, and the possible areas of improvement among them. What products/software/systems are out there now and what do y'all think of them?
Tho I'm in the US, I would love to hear the perspectives of those from other countries as well.
