What humanity has come to

My 6th grade geography teacher would give us multiple study guides with conflicting information, tell us we weren’t aloud to use any other sources to study, and then take points off of our tests when we got the answers “wrong.”

My 7th grade history teacher had a picture Robert. E. Lee on his desk and couldn’t remember the names of half the girls in my class. I had him for two years.

In 8th grade the same teacher made us spend half the year working on a giant research project without teaching us any of the skills we needed to do the actual research, then resigned at the end of the year without even grading them.

My 9th grade science teachers taught an entire unit on methemoglobinemia without actually knowing how to pronounce “methemoglobin.”

My stats teacher doesn’t believe in the Monty Hall problem and spent a whole class period explaining to us that it’s BS.

It’s been several years since the last time I saw a science work sheet that didn’t have at least one major grammatical error that made several of the questions on it completely nonsensical.

This is what passes as a “privileged education” and people still wonder why flat earthers are a thing.
