the system where kids look forward to month or two month long vacations is bad maybe; if theyre not going to be reviewing or studying during that pwriod

I think the majority of young people growing up get in the bad habit of finishing the class so that they dont have to worry about it over there break and the break is just for having as much fun as possible when theyre likely to forget a lot of what theyve been going to class for.

I think they should be showing more applications of the content learned like using geometry in engineering or calculus or statistics for plant breeding so the kids arent primarily learning the material just to pass.... more responsible parents will ensure that is not happening but in my experience MOST parents are not doing this and kids are just passing and then forgetting a lot of it with these breaks.

They shouldnt get breaks like that until they can afford them. So tell em idc how long of a break you take (vacation) as long as you can afford it meaning theyre going to have to perform better and value the material more if theyre going to get a vacation because thatll provide them money if they learn the skills and use them to create income.

I think its irresponsible how the american education system has been running and very ineffective compared to how it could be. Stopping here because I believe ive said enough.
