I think about this a lot. I want to ask other teachers how they would handle this.
Let's say someone from before the industrial revolution (maybe George Washington?) was frozen and woke up in 2020. That person needs to be ready to integrate into the modern world in no more than one month. You have every day that month, 8am to 4pm, to prepare them. 31 full time days.
How would you design a curriculum to complete this task?
Here are some guiding topics of what they need to know at a minimum:
-current poltical/cultural geography and affairs, both domestic and abroad, and how they got to where they are now
-the evolution of technology, from the industrial revolution to the current tech companies and their products (cell phones, transportation, steel, medicine, etc.)
-modern culture and language, and how they developed since that person's own time period into what they are today (music, fashion, memes, literature, media, etc.)
