Math teachers should lie at least 10% of the time and challenge students to prove which are the lies. Dont just tell them what pi is. Tell them the slightly wrong pi and see if they figure it out.

Dont make them memorize a multiplication table. Give it to them with 3 numbers wrong, and see if they challenge on why 8*7 is not 8 different from 8*6.

Dont give them calculators but make them build a calculator using conways game of life or some simpler principles, if they want to have one, and in conways game of life make a few of the squares do the wrong thing and see if they notice then give them the correct conways game of life.

If they cant catch a lie then they dont really understand, and it would be more fun.
