I had this student in an elective and she laughed a lot at me, with me, what ever, it was a decent relationship. The issue though would be that we would be laughing, she would saying something rude and I would call her out and she would immediately shut down. It seems that any time I was trying to be serious with her, she would act as if I was the worst person in the world. The other thing to mention, is that this is far from the firs student I have had this issue with, or teacher! I have had several students who can't help but laugh constantly in my presence (I'm a goofy guy) but it usually has taken a simple conversation and it was over. I see this as different because of how mad she has gotten every time I have tried to talk to her and with how rude her laughter sounds as I see her in the hallway. I really don't mind someone laughing at me, but the way she does has me thinking, "I know I am funny, stop trying to be mean". Any advice would be great! Thank you!
