What ways are governments trying to improve the education system?

Hi All,

I am doing a meta-analysis for school comparing various ways the school system can be improved and their price to find the optimal price for performance ratio. If that makes sense.

What ways are governments or other bodies trying to improve education? Or new research to improve student performance?

So far I have

-The banning of homework

-Banning of phones

-Higher teacher salaries

-Longer teaching education

-Starting school earlier

-Reduction in air pollution
