Hello!
My name is Hailey Rueden, I am a senior psychology major at the University of North Georgia. I am currently doing IRB approved research for my honors thesis on how gender and presentation of systems influence teacher’s views on ADHD. I am interested in this work because teachers play an important role in the diagnosis process for students with ADHD, so it is important to understand barriers for teacher’s full understanding of the symptoms for ADHD. If you are a K-5 teacher, I have posted a link below to the survey that will take approximately 15 minutes. It will require you to put in some demographic information (ex: how long have you been a teacher?), then read a short passage about a fictional child and answer a few questions based off of the passage.
A total of 128 teachers are necessary for this project, so any help to get to my goal would be wonderful! I want to make an impact for students with ADHD and believe this is my first step to do so. If you are not a K-5 Teacher but do know some, I would appreciate if you could reach out to them to let them know about this opportunity.
