Hey guys. So I need a little advice I think. Just to give you some background, I just recently graduated from college in May with a bachelors in public health. Never really wanted to major in that, I just changed my major at the end of my junior year and wanted to hurry up and be done so I didn't think things through. I was lost about what to do after undergrad, so I started grad school in August and dropped out because I knew that wasn't the right move. I moved out to Texas (from AL) for grad school, but I found a full time job to hold me over in the meantime living here. Admittedly, the break from school at the moment is really nice and very much needed.
I've been taking some time to think about what I want my career to be in, and I draw a blank each time. I'm only 22, so I know I have time to figure it out and it's not the end of the world, but going from the man who always had a plan to...whatever this is, it's bothering me not feeling like I'm striving to reach some goal...if that makes sense at all. In my down time, I've been thinking about what I should go back to school for, because I know I ultimately need another degree. I've been attracted to business for quite some time now (specifically accounting), and think maybe I should explore going back to school for that? Not rushing into things, trust me, I'm just considering it. If I did go back to school for accounting, business, or whatever, I think I'd go back to my old university in Alabama (which has a really great business school, in state tuition, and I liked it there). I think my question is...does this sound absolutely absurd? And to do something like business or accounting, is it something I need to get a bachelors in? I ask that because I know you can do so many things now without having to deal with the pain that is college, so I was just wondering if someone knew of other avenues that I could take if need be. Thanks!
