Today’s adult workers don’t balance pH equations, remember names of proteins, or routinely (except driving, perhaps) remember much from physics, as much as utilize the ideas of scientific method. My best educators focused on interpreting data first and memorizing facts and figures after. In today’s world of false advertising, misinformation, and credit card/mortgage/car/educationloan/lottery world, I think a finance class would have benefited the lower and middle class who are extorted for not understanding statistics.
I mean no offense to the fantastic people who led me to any career and taught me a love for science, but in terms of practical skills I wanted to hear people’s thoughts!
