So I’m going to be starting school back up in the spring and studying secondary education to eventually teach high school history and Econ/gov. I really want to throw myself into the education space while in school to gain credibility and experience, and am especially interested in learning about holistic education/educational practices that place emphasis on mindfulness.
This could really take the form of an internship, volunteer work, or part-time work with an alternative school, a Montessori school, an organization that focuses on education or mindfulness or both, or even something a little less related to education and more about mindset (the Arbinger Institute comes to mind here, for example).
So I just wanted to crowdsource from Reddit and see what organizations or initiatives I could look into. Thanks in advance for your suggestions, anything and everything is welcome!
