Hello, this is just a quick question about education, I'm in a crossroad and not sure what to do.
(I live in the UK)
We moved into the UK 5 years ago when I was 15, I was mentally struggling and couldn't really keep up with school, I'm now 20 and I feel like it Took or is Taking longer to find something that I'm passionate and interested in.
I now feel like I've found something that really interests me and I want to be educated on the topic more and probably have it as my career.
What I've found is Neurologists/Psychiatrists
(Now this is the Education part)
As most of you know Neurologists/Psychiatrists are some very smart people and they have to work very hard to get the proper education and degrees to have a job like that.
I've never really tried at school, nothing in school's interested me and I chose to turn my back on education.
Now after a few years I realised that I want to study.
(The problem)
Since I turned my back on education my grades are pretty bad and I need to Redo my basic grades Most importantly (GCSE maths and English) so I'm very far away.
Can someone that has experience or information educate me how you get to that form of education (M.D) and move along to such a profession, I clearly have a long way to go but I believe that I can manage it with a lot of work and dedication.
How would you approach this if you'd be in my situation? Bottom of the barrel when it comes to grades and have a dream to get an M.D / be a Neurologist or Psychiatrist.
Sorry for the rant.
