Kind of a broad question, but from your experience, how much does higher spending from a budget correlate with higher quality of education, like test scores and graduation rates? From what I’ve seen, it seems to help to an extent, though the money must also be allocated effectively. It looks like states with high quality education spend the most amounts of money per student on education, like Massachusetts.
Specifically what spawned this question was wondering why New Mexico’s education system lags behind the rest of the country. I can’t find any clear reasons behind this nor can I find New Mexico’s annual education budget.
