How to decide what I want to study in university

I am 18 this year and still don’t know what I want to study in university. I’m taking Cambridge A Levels right now so I have only about one year to decide. My friends and twin sister all have a rough idea of what they want to study and their future career paths, but I have yet to realise what I want to study and where my interest lies at. I’m worried that I would be falling behind while everybody is moving ahead with their lives.

I have no particular hobbies that I really enjoy and think I can make into a career option. I have mediocre social skills and I’m just average in my studies. My parents always have high expectations for my future, but at this rate I feel like i would be disappointing them.

I have a mild interest in accounting and finance, however I often get swayed by my parent’s words, saying that I need to enjoy looking at numbers all the time to be a top notch accountant. It makes me doubt myself and my abilities, questioning whether I actually like this subject enough to fully commit to it.

At the moment the subjects I’m taking for my A Levels is Maths, Statistics, Economics, Physics and Chemistry. Should I just go with a degree in accounting and finance, even with these doubts? I hope I can get some advice on this platform.
