Teaching myself again from scratch

Hi! I am in my early 20s and was considering the idea of reviewing everything I have learnt from childhood up to HS (and maybe college too) because I have this feeling that I have been screwed (sorry for the cussing if it counts as one) along the way. Because I have always felt that my parents had a way better education and are more cultivated that me , when they were my age, and they studied in the 50s and 70s. Also in my research I have found that there are schools where it costs 50K $ a year and only the princes and such can go to and was wondering what is the content of the courses they study and what books do they use. So teachers and students like me (and anyone who wants to help) do you have ANY list of books in ANY subject that may help me in my way to enlightenment. (I can read English, French and fluent Arabic by the way so feel free to send the titles and Authors that you find helpful) Thx
