Now that affirmative action has been struck down by a majority conservative court, which I think is not the end of the world that some forecast, I am very curious as to what Republicans are going to do as far as grade schools and middle schools to invest in the education of children of low socioeconomic strata. Since conservatives care a lot. And I mean A LOT a lot. About what Really helps people, especially POC and we’re adamant aff. ac did not do that.
As someone who isn’t THAT removed from my school days and recalls them fondly and crisply, what exactly is going to be done- that’s not encouraging fathers to stay in homes or urging certain cultures to value education more- to ensure that we aren’t seeing black and brown children herded into remedial classes because of things like AAVE when these kids have the potential to be veritable Math and Science whizzes (shout out Stephon Boyce✌️)
