TL;DR : i live in ontario and was homeschooled during grade 11, i cant seem to get a highschool diploma to apply to university.
I live in ontario and went through school up until the 10th grade. I started being homeschooled at grade 11 and had a successful transition from school to home. This was a couple years ago, now i want to apply to university but i dont have an actual diploma to show for. I called the school and the best thing they can give me is my transcript. I remember reading online before being homeschooled that the only thing a homeschooled kid needs to do to get their diploma is to pass the 12th grade finals tests of their previous school. But when i called the guidance counselor at my old school, she seems to think otherwise. How do i get my diploma now? I understand that a diploma is not a requirment for applying to universities and colleges, but it looks better than just a transcript. Any help is appreciated.
