What can be done about acts of violence in the classroom? (Student vs student. In Texas Public Schools)

This year my daughter has had 2 acts of violence, presumably from the same student, but they refuse to release identity. For context this is elementry in special education/ structed classes. (Is this the correct subreddit?)

The first instance was getting kicked in the back. Today was a chair thrown to the head; bump on head and possible concussion. Daughter is autistic and has trouble verbally communicating.

Meeting with the principal will be later today. I need to make sure my child is safe when I'm school.

Would an attorney help? Texas Education Agengy? Notes from the burst vist? Formal complaints? What's the best plan of attack for violence in public texas schools?
