would online school be a good option for me

ive always struggled with school. especially this last year, i messed up so bad, failed classes, and got into summer school. in summer school my district offered online classes with video lessons, and i excelled in them by re-watching videos multiple times. i completed all the work quickly and got over 90%, which is uncommon for me. i know sometimes summer school work is much easier, but i’m proud of myself. its also why im considering switching to online school. ive researched it, and all ive found is benefits. for example, the freedom, job opportunities, and ease of seeking help. i genuinely see online school as a way to redeem myself in my last two years of high school (im becoming a junior). my mom's hesitant about it, even after i explained to her how much i could benefit from it. So yeah, id appreciate advice on convincing her and understanding any potential downsides or why this is a terrible idea
