I’m a new preschool teacher. We have no kind of therapy or psych resources here. I’ve got a kiddo who is crazy hyperactive. Like, he is constantly jumping around, singing, and wiggling and can’t even sit down for more than a second. It’s all compulsive and he intends to listen and then after five seconds, can’t. I’ve never worked with a kid with this much hyperactivity. He’s smart and interested in school but literally cannot rein it in. Any suggestions for how to best help him learn? I let him wiggle as long as his mouth is off but even that can be disruptive. I just want to serve him the best I can while still being able to keep the class in order.
