I did my GCSE in 2024 May June time I didn’t pass because my teacher had changed my papers very last minute and I had to move to a tuition place which was very helpful but I didn’t pass my GCSEs. So starting the next academic year, I was put into this other tuition place because college didn’t feel right considering my current circumstances at the time they basically made broken promises saying that they’d get me to the GCSE level, but didn’t they never entered me in for any GCSEs like they said they would have done all I have now is just a level two functional skill in English. The math teacher there would sit on his phone while I’d be doing the paper he gave me which wasn’t even a GCSE paper like he said it would’ve been my science teacher would say have a five minute break and come back an hour later every single time if I’d ever question this they would give very vague responses I was supposed to have done my science since no college offers science GCSE where I am. I was supposed to have done my English and maths. now I’m not one year I’m two I wanted to start doing A-levels, but now I can’t because I’m gonna be too old which is what my college has said they can’t put me on those courses. I want to do it for the 2025 November intake but I’m honestly feeling very depressed because people my age are already looking at universities I feel like I won’t make any friends my age when I go to uni that is if I ever even get the chance does anyone know the quickest route for me to do a level 3? because i am capable. I’ve just been very deprived and had a lot of last-minute changes. please help I know it’s my story and not anybody else’s, but I just need help because I don’t want to be any more behind my peers :(
