I started a degree (3 years degree, ) right out of highschool (at 17) that i ended up leaving about 1.5 years in due to not aligning with the degree, COVID and the switch to full time work which caused extreme burnout and confusion at the time.
Im now older and 5 years later decided to re apply to finish the degree due to wanting a career switch (from the same job) at some point and the general feeling creeping up about at least having a degree.
I got an offer to re-start the degree today and now am having second thoughts about actually enrolling. Is it worth it to go back and finish the degree? I also dont have too much interest in the degree, maybe about 5 out of 10 to rate it If i had too.
Is it worth it to go back just for the sake having a degree?
I know it seems like im deciding no. I am asking as if I do go back, It will mean ill be able to go part time at my job and be able to free up time and devote energy into working for myself that I dont get now.
Looking for guidance here. I am already looking to speak to a advisor at the university already.
