Just this pretty much. My district wants me to come in to the classroom 5 days a week, however we are teaching kindergarten remotely. Not quite sure what my duties would be.
Also, I’m a single mother. Childcare is falling apart and my schedule has changed from 4 half days to 5 I have no idea what kind of days. My district is not organized and doesn’t have a plan for aids.
My second job in childcare I can’t work because of lack of childcare. Ironic, right? So, I’ve lost summer pay, my second job during the school year, and I will now be paying more in childcare(if I can find it) because my center gave me a discount for working there.
Could I ask to be laid off and collect unemployment until my district goes back to school? I’m grasping at every option I can think of.
