Advice needed on searching for meaningful employment/ volunteer opportunities for a future career in foreign service/ International Relations

Any help on this topic would be extremely appreciated. I apologize if this is not the most relevant place to post this.

I am a college senior going into my last semester. I am a Political Science/ International Studies double major with a minor in Religious Studies, 3.82 GPA. I live in New York. English-Native, Polish-Fluent, Spanish-Proficient. Citizen.

My original plan was to go straight into graduate school but unfortunately that will be impossible with financial circumstances. My applications for the Fulbright, Pickering Fellowship and other similar fellowships have not been selected. This leaves me a bit unprepared with my impending future.

My current prospect is working to secure a Peace Corps opportunity abroad after graduation, or an entry level position at the UN. These are just ideas though, and I'm further interested in working for the State department or an NGO or anything related to my undergraduate education. I am not knowledgeable enough about prospects for my future.

Right now I am trying to throw anything out and see what can come into fruition. Any information about places to apply to or look towards would be greatly appreciated.

P.S- I am open to anything. These fellowships were supposed to be my ticket out of a bad home situation where I'm alone with my parents in the United States. I realistically have a little under a year to secure some sort of employment or furthering of my career goals before I am kicked out by my father to find my own way. Thank you so so much.
