We were taught different things in school.

My wife and I talk about current events often. It’s come to my attention that a lot of the stuff I learned in school is heavily biased and in some cases not true. My question is am I stupid for believing some of the things the school has taught me over the years including college. I know this is no surprise since a lot of things I’ve learned in my life I’ve proven this fact but I’m at a pass with myself thinking that everything I have learned is wrong. I often think of myself as someone who Knows a little about a lot of things. But now I’m not sure. I just don’t know where to go from here do I start looking things up as if I was in school at 40 years old. Or do I just start believing people blindly when they tell me information that I previously have learned because it could be false. I just don’t know what to do to be Better equipped for conversation without saying things that are false. I came to this sub Reddit because I figured it would be equipped to give me some sort of advice to move forward. Thanks for listening to my problem.
