I recently taught an economic systems unit in my economics class and we played Monopoly as a means of discussing each economic system. Here is how it went.

Hey everyone. I like to teach with games a lot. Usually I use video games, but this year I decided to bring board games into my classroom. Part of the year was dedicated to learning about different economic systems so I thought it would be cool to play Monopoly with the rules altered to better fit whichever economic system we were discussing at that time. Like I said, I usually make curriculum and find ways to teach with video games, but I've decided to change things up this year and incorporate board games.
