I (28F) just got accepted into a two year Office Administration - Executive program in Ontario.
I have no work experience. I started having babies right out of high school.
I want to get into office administration because its mundane and repetitive and it's just always what I pictured myself doing.
Anyways, a friend (who is a nurse, not an office administrator) told me it's not worth taking the program, that it's a waste of money, and I could just apply for an office job without the program.
Is she right? I feel like the education would offset the fact that I've never worked. I feel like there's no way I could get a good office job without anything on my resume.
But now I'm questioning it. She's out in the real world and knows how things works better than I do.
Should I take the program? Or would it actually be a waste of time and money?
TL;DR Is an office administration program worth the money?
