Hi All, Quick background, I’m a Head Teacher in the Australian education system and looking to branch out into “new” areas. Specifically tutoring high school students over zoom in other countries. Rationale being with time differences I would be able to find work during the day in our term holiday breaks.
My questions are:
- What would be the best payment method? I’m currently just taking cash or using bank transfers (all local so no difficulty there)
- What are reasonable rates for this? I charge $70 AUD for one hour over zoom, mostly just worked examples in maths and science- email the pdf notes from each session
- has anyone tried this with any success? Are there places to advertise or find business? Most local Facebook pages in my area have plenty of requests for high school tutoring but this may be specific to Australia
