How to solve one's doubts after college without the internet?

First of all, why without the internet? I'm addicted to it and once I manage to free myself from this prison I never want to use it again, or at least use it only very little like once a week because the decade demands it.

Now, why do I come here, isn't the answer too obvious? Just read more books and get more degrees, some of you may first think. Thing is, books and degrees aren't that helpful, especially when they're the source of doubt, which they are in my case. I read a book and a burst of seemingly unaswearable doubts come at me!

An acquaintance suggested local clubs with people that are interested in the same subject but I never heard of clubs this academic. I believe there must be a way as older people in their time managed to get their doubts answered. Or did they?
