First of all, I'd like to apologize if this is an off topic question or just a stupid question in general.
I'm currently about to go into senior year in a US public school, and I'm looking to study music composition in Japan. I've been looking around multiple universities in Japan for their foreign exchange programs and admissions policies, but it's too much to take in with so little starting information. I'm not at a point yet where I can get a solid idea of universities I would like to attend, so I don't think contacting foreign exchange offices from colleges would be fit yet.
Right now, I would like to be able to contact someone who is willing to guide me in understanding the differences between certain universities in Japan and get a closer look into the finer details for each university. The information I would be looking for is how admissions, financial aid, and education system works.
What I'm aware of right now is that attending college in Japan is much cheaper and a lot more laid-back. I also have a lot more personal reasons to choose Japan specifically, and if someone or someone you know can help me, I can fill in the details.
Edit: I would also like to add that I would be asking my school counselor about this, but it's currently summer break. I would like to get this information ASAP, so I can clearly explain my plan regarding college to my parents after I've thought everything through.
