Freshmen research/projects/internships for CS major international students?

Hey, I'm a freshman with majors in Computer Sciences.

So I know that many universities provide opportunity to freshers and other students (Including international students) to work along with projects under professors. I'm not really sure how to approach to the opportunity.

Can you guys tell me how can I contact professors for such projects.
