Can you get into administration at a different school with no admin experience?

I am in my 3rd year teaching special education and I'm thinking about getting into administration( I previously spent 11 years in warehouse management). I'm at a small non-public school with only a principal, and no assistant. A lot of the graduate programs assume you'll do the field experience at your current school. Have you or anyone you know gotten an Administration job at a different school with no previous admin experience?
